During our Walawe River Jungle Boat Safari, guests were fortunate to witness a rare and special moment in the wild.
Beyond this dead tree lies the nest of a White-bellied Sea Eagle. As we traveled upstream, we observed the mother eagle at the nest with her chick.
On our return journey, she was seen perched calmly on this branch, keeping a watchful eye over her nest.

Our guests were truly delighted to experience and capture this unforgettable wildlife moment.

A passionate bird photographer who accidentally discovered the Walawe River Jungle Boat Safari decided to join our tour—and ended up enjoying every moment of it. Surrounded by calm waters and rich birdlife, he captured beautiful shots and truly experienced the magic of the river.

Crocodiles do live in the Walawe River, but they are very shy by nature. When they hear the sound of a boat engine, they usually slip quietly into the water, making sightings quite rare for our guests.

This lucky moment was accidentally captured by one of our travelers—a crocodile resting peacefully on the riverbank before disappearing into its natural habitat.

Encounters like this remind us how truly wild and untouched the Walawe River ecosystem is. Every safari brings a new surprise! 🚤🌿
