We are a hostel established in a unique colonial property in Anuradhapura our HQ and accommodtaion for our Give A Fig Volunteering - a UK non-profit - volunteers, which we open to you, travelers, tourists and passersby. We work in education, development, income growing, and conservation, and your stay here will be a relaxing and enjoyable experience - we serve good western and local food - have mo

nkeys and hornbills in our wooded garden, and we can introduce you to Sri Lanka off the tourist path. We can take you to villages to collect rushes and weave baskets, cook Sri Lankan food, turn pots with a potters family, cycle through beautiful countryside, and maybe see crocodiles, and elephants. We want you to be here, and we want you to stay, and so we give you good western hostel standards at the price you expect Sri Lankan prices to be. And of course, you will be supporting all our non-profit work!

we have all sorts of fungi (inaects, birds, and wildlife) here in our garden in Sri Lanka, but i have yet to see them as varied as this (except in one vegetarian restaurant in Hong Kong)
