The past few days have been heart-wrenching as I’ve watched videos and photos from my beloved country, feeling pain for the kindest island people...

Each time the people of Sri Lanka begin to rise above the challenges they face, another hardship arises. Not long ago, we celebrated record-breaking tourism and the recovery from devastating economic and political crises—yet here we are again, now facing another test of patience and resilience from nature itself.

My thoughts, prayers, and love are with everyone affected by this disaster. Sadly, it’s not over, and the road to recovery will take time. I wish my fellow islanders patience and greater strength. Deep down, I believe that my favorite island will rise once more.

Let us also hold in our hearts our sisters and brothers in Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, and Vietnam. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

Day #4 - Free Education For 600 Village Students Project, Sri Lanka 🇱🇰

After 4 days of the project's launch, we have achieved 25% of our project goal, which aims to support village students with their education for a year. The current total of $7,520 USD supports 150 students, and we still have a long way to go. Every $50 USD donation supports one village student for a year with their education.

Here are the project details:

There are still villages where children and youth lack the essential facilities to improve their quality of education and learn new skills involving technology, unlike kids in urban areas. This is our opportunity to create direct experiences for this generation, bridging the urban-rural gap to make a difference by offering equal opportunities, which have been a privilege for many of us.

Our goal with 30,000 USD (47,000 AUD):

Support +600 Village Students with their education;
Free Education for one full year;
Students from 40 different villages will be impacted;
Students will benefit from a range of courses, including languages, mathematics, Women's Empowerment Programmes, sports, life skills, good values, and more.
