Madu Ganga is a minor watercourse which originates near Galle of Sri Lanka, before widening into the Madu Ganga Lake at Balapitiya. lapitiya. Madu ganga is located in Balapitiya, 80 km away from Colombo, close to Sri Lankas southern costal belt. This wetland spreds over 900 heactares of area and most of it covered with water. There are totally 64 island in Madu Ganga. This tour will take around 2.5 to 3 hours and it’s advisable to bring drinking water, Sunglasses and hats. Some boats has adjustable roofing covers during your boat ride, you can see huge mangrove forest by the river banks. Boats will ride under short tunnel, which is made out of mangrove. You can see many birds and animals who are living in this aquatic environment. The main occupancy of the villagers is fishing. Some of them doing the tradition industries such as cinnamon processing.

මාදු ගඟ ශ්රී ලංකාවේ දකුණු වෙරළ තීරයට ආසන්නව කොළඹ සිට කිලෝමීටර 80 ක් දුරින් බලපිටියේ පිහිටා ඇත.මෙම තෙත් බිම හෙක්ටයාර 900 කට අධික ප්රදේශයක් පුරා පැතිරී ඇති අතර ඉන් වැඩි ප්රමාණයක් ජලයෙන් වැසී ඇත. මාදු ගඟේ මුළු දූපත් ගණන 64 කි. මෙම සංචාරය පැය 2.5 සිට 3 දක්වා ගත වන අතර පානීය ජලය, අව් කණ්ණාඩි සහ හිස්වැසුම් රැගෙන ඒම සුදුසුය. සමහර බෝට්ටු ඔබේ බෝට්ටු සවාරියේදී වෙනස් කළ හැකි සෙවිලි ආවරණ ඇත, ඔබට ගං ඉවුරේ විශාල කඩොලාන වනාන්තර දැකිය හැකිය. කඩොලාන වලින් සාදන ලද කෙටි උමගක් යට බෝට්ටු ගමන් කරනු ඇත.මෙම ජලජ පරිසරයේ ජීවත් වන විශේෂ්ත පක්ෂීන් සහ සතුන් බොහෝමයක් දැක ගත හැකිය.යම්කිසි ප්රමාණයක ගම්වාසීන්ගේ ප්රධාන රැකියාව මසුන් ඇල්ලීමයි.ඔවුන්ගෙන් සමහරෙක් කුරුඳු සැකසීම වැනි සම්ප්රදායික කර්මාන්ත කරති.
