SRI PADA - a pilgrimage site that is a sacred place for Buddhists, Christians, Hindus, and Muslims. To the Buddhists the footprint found at the peak belongs to Lord Budda, to the Christians it's Adams, to the Hindus it's Lord Siva's, and to the Muslims it's Ai-Rohun, a prophet. Adored by tourists the world over, a climb to Adam's Peak is certainly worth it. Seasonally the pathway to the peak is lit and travel worthy from the full moon poya in December to the full moon poya in April. Traditionally the climb commences at night and you arrive at the peak in time to watch a breathtaking sunrise.

NORWAY’S MOST POPULAR TV TALK SHOW ‘SENKVELD’ HOSTED BY MOSVOLD LANKA TRAVELS IN SRI LANKA

Mr Kurt Mosvold, owner Mosvold Lanka Travels and Ms Sissel Nordhagen, owner Norsk Tur Norway together with their joint venture company Sri Lanka Travel in Norway, hosted the production of Norway’s most popular TV talk show ‘Senkveld’ at Mosvold Villa by Jetwing in August 2013. Senkveld is broadcast every Friday on TV2, the largest commercial TV channel in Norway with an average of one million viewers per program and Monster Entertainment was the production company behind TV2.

The program featuring Sri Lanka was aired in Norway in March 2014. Senkveld is a light entertainment program with two main characters named Thomas and Harald. In each program they have competitions where Thomas and Harald along with their local team member compete against each other to be declared winner of each challenge. Their local team members Namal and Sanjeewa, two local tuk tuk drivers from Ahangama and neighbours of Mosvold Villa, are now famous in Norway. They enjoyed their first return flight from Koggala to Sigiriya where a part of the filming took place. All on ground arrangements were exclusively handled by Mosvold Lanka Travels.
