The World’s Shortest Commercial Flight
The flight from Westray to Papa Westray in the Orkney Islands covers only 1.7 miles (2.7 km). On a good day, the journey can take just 53 seconds. The route is operated by Loganair and has been connecting these two small islands for decades. It’s a regular scheduled flight, but for passengers, it can feel more like a quick hop than a typical flight.
