The Sri Lankan Sloth Bear (Melursus ursinus inornatus) is a subspecies of the Sloth Bear which is found mainly in lowland dry forests in the island of Sri Lanka.The Sloth Bear's habitat is found in the Indian subcontinent. Sri Lankan bear is about 2/3 of the size of the Sloth Bears found in India.The Sloth Bear is distinctly shaped with its black shaggy coat.

The rock pools of Thalpe 🌊🌴

According to the villagers the rock pools were cut out of the corals around 50 years ago and was used to soak coconut husks in order to separate the coconut coir. The beach is very clean and the place is totally undiscovered. You will love it for sure!

Horton Plains National Park is a national park in the central highlands of Sri Lanka that was designated in 1988 and It's approximately 1.5 hours from famous tourists destination Nuwara Eliya. The main trek is 9km and it can be enjoyed within 3 - 4 hours. While on the trek you will witness the beautiful Bakers fall and on the southern edge of the Horton Plains at an altitude of 2140m is famous World’s End, an escarpment that fall sheer 900 meters. It is rich in biodiversity with many species endemic to the area itself.
