Where the World Simply… Ends

Horton Plains National Park. Sri Lanka's most dramatic, most mysterious, most breathtaking wilderness. 🌫️
Douglas and his family laced up their boots at dawn and walked into the clouds. Past rolling golden grasslands that stretch like a forgotten African savannah. Past ancient patana shrubs and crystal streams threading silently through the valley. Past herds of Sri Lankan Sambar deer grazing so close you could almost whisper to them.
And then — the trail ends. The ground simply stops.
They stood at the edge of World's End — an 870-metre sheer cliff drop plunging into the misty valley far below — where the clouds swirl upward to meet you, and the silence is so complete, so absolute, that you feel you could hear your own heartbeat.
Horton Plains does not just take your breath away. It reminds you to breathe more slowly. More deeply. More gratefully.
