The tunnel which was close to Rawana Ella could reveal important facts about the legendary King Rawana who is said to have ruled the country during a prehistoric era

A mysterious tunnel the history of which is yet to be ascertained has been found underneath a huge rock at Udakirinda in Karandagolla in the Rawana Ella Forest Reserve.

A group of villagers who found it while collecting firewood crawled through its mouth found themselves in a 15 ft wide tunnel in which they could stand straight.
