The best memories in Sri Lanka often happen between the destinations. 🌿

The winding roads through tea country. A roadside stop you didn’t plan. A viewpoint that wasn’t on the itinerary. A quiet village, a passing smile, or simply watching the landscape change outside your window.

Because a well-planned journey isn’t only about where you stay, it’s about how you experience the road between each place.

Let GoKonect take care of the journey, so you can enjoy everything in between.

Planning a Yala safari this September or October? 🐆

Here's what many travellers are missing: Yala isn't completely closed.

From 14 September to 15 October 2026, Blocks 1 & 2 will be temporarily but other Yala blocks remain open, and safaris can still happen with the right planning.

What this means for you:

✅ Safaris are still possible in open Yala blocks.

🗓️ Your itinerary may just need a small adjustment, not a complete change of plans.

The key is knowing which entrance, which block, and which route fits your journey.

Save this if you're travelling to Sri Lanka this season, and let us help you plan the best safari experience.

The #1 mistake first-time visitors make in Sri Lanka?

Underestimating how long it takes to get from one destination to another.

On a map, Colombo to Kandy may look close, but Sri Lanka’s winding roads, changing terrain, traffic, and scenic routes can make the journey take longer than expected.

That’s why planning the journey is just as important as choosing the destination.

At GoKonect, we help travellers build realistic itineraries that leave room to explore, enjoy, and experience Sri Lanka, not rush through it.
