Tailor-made holiday in Sri Lanka or we call it bespoke holiday plan. Sri Lanka is a tropical island and there are main two monsoon seasons. southwestern monsoon and northeastern monsoon. 90% of the tourist expect beach stay for a week or longer at the end of their holiday. the golden sands that makeup Sri Lankan beaches are sun and fun playground.
We recommend Eastern beach locations (Trincomalee, Nilaveli, Passikudah, Kalkudah, Arugambay) if you are expecting to travel between May to September months.
From October to April select South beaches (Hambantota, Kalametiya, Tangalle, Hiriketiya, Dickwella, Talalla, Dondra, Matara, Polhena, Mirissa, Weligama, Midigama, Koggala, Ahangama, Talpe, Unawatuna, Galle, Rathgama, Dodandoowa, Hikkaduwa, Ambalangoda, Balapitiya, Ahungalle, Kosgoda, Induruwa, Bentota, Aluthgama, Beruwala)
You can visit and stay in western beaches all around the year but the best season for western beaches between November to April (Colombo, Kalutara, Waskaduwa, Panadura, Moratuwa, Mount Lavinia, Uswetakeiyawa, Negombo, Marawila, Chilaw, Kalpitiya)
In October & up to mid of November, there is an inter-monsoon period. thunderstorms and heavy rain can occur across the island. staying south beach for ayurvedic treatments and longer on the beach is fine but round tours and sightseeing are not highly recommended.
Jaffna and north peninsula is becoming a popular tourist destination in Sri Lanka also the weather is mostly dry around the year. if you are planning to stay more than 20 days or more traveling around 450 Km from Colombo will be ok for you.
