Mirissa and its breathtaking sandy beach pretty much transforms your dreams and visions of a tropical paradise into an everyday reality.

Located close to the Southern tip of the Island of Sri Lanka and only about 200 km from the Equator, this secluded crescent shaped beach is the perfect place to sit back, relax and forget about all the hussle and bussle of your other life that’s a million miles away.

This small sandy tropical beach boasts some of Sri Lanka’s best and most stunning sunsets and sunrises.

All the Guest Houses in Mirissa are set back from the actual beach giving you the impression that you are on a deserted palm fringed island. Every now and again the silence is broken by the sound of a coconut falling on the sand or a chilled beer being opened by someone further up the beach.

අතීතයේදී සුළු බෝට්ටු ප්‍රමාණයක් සහිතව වරායක්ද ඉදිවී තිබිණි.චන්ද්‍රවංකයක හැඩය ගත් මෙම හුදකළා මුහුදු තීරය ජීවිතයේ සුන්දරම නිමේශයක නිස්කලංකයේ හුදකලා වීමටත් ඔබේ නිවාඩුව නැගෙන හිරුගේ අතීශය නැවුම් බවින් හා බැස යන හිරුගේ සියුම් ශෘංගාරයෙන් පිනවීමටත් සුදුසුම සංචාරක තෝතැන්නකි.

පොල් රුප්පාවෙන් අසිරි ලද මුහුදු තීරය පෙනෙන සේ සැදුම් ලත් සංචාරක නිවෙස් බොහෝමයක් අද මිරිස්ස පුරා අරක් ගෙන ඇත්තේ දෙස්විදෙස් සංචාරකයන් ආකර්ෂණය සඳහාම ය. එලෙසම සංචාරකයින්ට රිසිසේ ආහාර ගැනීමට හැක. පෙර-අපරදිග ආහාර ක්‍රම හා බොහෝ ආහාර ක්‍රම ගම්වාසින් හා මෙම හෝටල් වල සූපවේදීන් ඉතා දක්ෂ ලෙස පිළියෙල කරති.

මිරිස්ස මුහුදු තීරයේ එක් විශේෂත්වයක් වන්නේ මුහුදු වෙරළ සියයට 95ක් පමණ වැලි සහිතව ගල්වලින් නිදහස්ව පැවතීමත්ය. දහවල් කාලයේදී මිරිස්ස මුහුදු වෙරළ සංචාරකයින්ගෙන් පිරී ඉතිරී ඇති ආකාරය දැක ගත හැකිය. ඔවුන්ට රිසිසේ Surf ක්‍රීඩා කිරීමට, මුහුදේ දිය නෑමට මිරිස්ස මුහුදු තීරය කදිම තෝතැන්නකි.
