We wish to bring to your immediate attention an important update from the Maldives Immigration authorities regarding entry requirements for non-Maldivian travelers arriving at Male (MLE) and Gan (GAN) airports.

All foreign nationals traveling to the Maldives must complete the IMUGA Traveler Declaration form prior to arrival.
This form has replaced the previous immigration application and is accessible online via
https://imuga.immigration.gov.mv/traveller

Passengers failing to complete this declaration in advance may face the following challenges,

• Immigration Delays - Weak internet connectivity at airports may cause prolonged clearance processes.
• Missed Connections - Potential disruptions to onward sea plane or speed boat transfers due to immigration bottlenecks.
• Regulatory Risks - Non-adherence may strain working relationships with local authorities.
• Operational Impact - Delays could hinder turnaround processes at Maldivian airports.

Please ensure all passengers are informed of this mandatory requirement and complete the IMUGA declaration before arrival . Proactive compliance will help avoid delays and ensure a seamless travel experience.

Travel requirements to the UK are changing. This includes moving from physical immigration documents to eVisas and introducing Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) which is a digital permission to travel.
If your clients hold a UK visa and use a biometric residence permit or card to prove their immigration status, they need to get access to an eVisa before they travel and make sure their passport details are up to date: www.gov.uk/eVisa.
If they already have an eVisa, they need to inform the UK Government about the passport that they intend to use for travel: www.gov.uk/update-uk-visas-immigration-account-details

If your clients do not need a visa to visit the UK for short stays of up to six months, they will need an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA). They can check when they need an ETA to travel to the UK and can apply here: www.gov.uk/electronic-travel-authorisation
