An Iranian frigate carrying 180 sailors was attacked by a U.S. submarine near Sri Lankan waters. In the aftermath, the Sri Lankan Navy rushed to the scene and managed to rescue 32 survivors from the sea.
Nearby, a second Iranian vessel lay anchored, carrying 208 people, many of them young naval cadets, their lives hanging in uncertainty as the world stood on the brink of war. Through calm diplomacy and decisive action, the Sri Lankan government and the Navy brought the second ship under their protection, ensuring the safety of all 208 Iranians on board.
