Wild and free! This adorable Palm squirrel scrambled up to the windowsill to see if he could snag a bit of boiled rice. It's a nice break from his usual foraging routine of seeds, flowers, fruits and insects.
He usually only stops by when he's hungry, especially when the monkeys are scouting around the trees!

Starting the day early: Heading towards Colombo on the Expressway at dawn. There is something magical about the peaceful morning roads in Sri Lanka.

Catching the early morning breeze, watching the sky change colour, and setting off for a new day of adventure.

Whether it's picking up guests from Colombo or the airport, I like to ensure that my guests get a smooth, safe and comfortable ride to their destination for a stress-free holiday.

What a beautiful spot, under a small bridge. The sound of clear mountain spring water rushing down the hillside makes this place so peaceful. Dragonflies, birds, frogs are easy to spot if you linger long enough, in a place you wouldn't think of stopping, on the way to lush tea plantations and forests of Muskeliya.

The 'crown jewel' of vintage German engineering in Sri Lanka: the 1958 Mercedes-Benz 0321 (luxury 60 seater) is the first-ever nationalized bus in Sri Lanka. It is on permanent display at the BMICH outdoor premises and despite being nearly 70 years old, the bus has been meticulously maintained and is cited as being in running condition.

After a rainy night, the morning sun finally breaks through. It's peaceful watching the Brown-headed Babblers warming up on the roof, surrounded by the lush greenery of tall tamarind trees, avocado trees, and coconut palms.
The beautiful corner of Kandy, Randles Hill (named after Sir John Scurray Randles), feels extra special today just past the Mulgampola railway halt. A perfect start to the day in the hill country!
