🇱🇰 Ascending Adam's Peak

Also known as Sri Pada, this mystical Sri Lankan landmark is set at 2,243m altitude.

The climb represents 1,000 meters elevation, done via a stairway of 5,000 steps.

Each step elevates not only the terrain but also the heart beat rate and the anticipation; weaving through landscapes from dense forests to exposed ridges.

As kilometers unfold, air thinned and panoramic vistas below are revealed. The summit stood as a testament to both physical and spiritual ascent. 

Beyond conquering heights, this is more than a hike, this is a pilgrimage. 

We were lucky to do the climb before the season started. This gave me the opportunity to be at the top on my own to cool down and spiritually reflect for a good 20 minutes before my friend arrived.

The religious significance of the site depends on who you're talking to:
Buddhists claim the footprint mark at the top is the left foot of Buddha.
Hindus consider the footprint to belong to Lord Shiva.
Muslims & Christians believe it’s Adam’s first step after being exiled from the Garden of Eden.
