Новый год на Шри Ланке празднуют в середине апреля. Для туристов - это низкий сезон, в большинстве отелей - тихо и немноголюдно.
В Киринда Бич ресорте, где мы решили временно пожить на условиях волонтерства, Новый год удался - свободным был лишь один домик!!! Тихий и спокойный в начале недели отель заполнился местными семьями 🌞❤ было с кем пообщаться и поиграться всем нам 😎⛱ А сегодня все уехали... как будто огромная волна набежала на берег, рассыпалась брызгами по камням, разлетелась пеной по песку, окатила всех вокруг громким шумом прибоя и отхлынула назад, домой, в океан, чтобы дождаться следующего праздничного выхода в свет 🌞🌐🍀

Как красиво!

Hpa-an’s Kyauk Kalat Pagoda is a stunning stupa-topped limestone pinnacle, set on a tiny isle dotted with monastic buildings itself set in a lake fluttering with white egrets and surrounded by paddy.
It certainly is one of Burma's most iconic sites.

Myanmar Tourism Marketing calls for continuous support for all communities in Myanmar and MTM focusses on travelling safely in Myanmar's green zones

Myanmar Tourism Marketing would like to express its support for all displaced people in Northern Rakhine State and outside Rakhine after last week’s terrorist attacks close to the Bangladesh border. We do hope that all people from all religion or race will soon find safe conditions to live.

We continue to believe that tourism is a good way to connect people and to bring development and peace all over Myanmar for everybody from any race or religion and we do call to tourists all over the world to continue visiting Myanmar. Especially now it’s important to make conscious decisions and choose to support everybody in the country. Please do visit Myanmar in a sustainable way to support people from all communities. Myanmar is an ethnically diverse nation of people living peacefully together. MTM realizes that tourism in Myanmar is still in its infancy and can only reach a limited number of areas and people, yet it is important to continue developing and expanding sustainable tourism in the country.

Up till very recently Myanmar often was at the bottom of many worldwide rankings and the last years have shown a steady climb and improvement on many fronts for many people. By far, the country has not reached its full tourism potential and still has a long way to go.

Myanmar stretches over more than 2000 kilometers from north to south and has astonishing nature, culture and adventure to offer for tourists. It’s also one of the most welcoming and friendly countries in the world and very, very safe to visit as long as you stay within the green areas. The green areas in the map provided by the UK Foreign Office are safe to travel and will easily keep you busy for even up to 6 weeks!

Myanmar Tourism Marketing does hope that people follow the travel advices given by the Myanmar government as well as foreign governments on where to visit safely in Myanmar and get to know the real country and its people for yourself.
