The Sinhala New Year in Sri Lanka begins in April, with the 13th and 14th traditionally considered the starting days. These dates are marked by various festivities involving children, relatives, and neighbors. One notable feature is an old revolving swing, collectively created by the community.
Swings like this are extremely rare today. This particular swing was discovered on a side road leading to the Sinharaja Forest through Rakwana. Its uniqueness lies in its construction, utilizing only local labor and materials found in the vicinity.
Australian travelers Mr/Mrs Terry and Sandra, who opted for a 26-day tour package from Showlanka, were delighted to have the opportunity to visit and experience this unique attraction.π±π°
