The place is built with a very relaxing ambience that helps you take your mind away from work and stress. Even if you are in rush to reach somewhere else down south, take about 5 minutes of your time to visit the beach. The parrot rock is located to the left side of Mirissa beach.

The Gal Vihara, and originally as the Uttararama, is a rock temple of the Buddha situated in the ancient city of Polonnaruwa in North Central Province, Sri Lanka. It was fashioned in the 12th century by Parakramabahu I. Located in the ancient ruins of the Polonnaruwa Kingdom, the Gal Vihara is home to some amazing sculptures of Lord Buddha.

Galle is a city on the southwest coast of Sri Lanka. It’s known for Galle Fort, the fortified old city founded by Portuguese colonists in the 16th century. Stone sea walls, expanded by the Dutch, encircle car-free streets with architecture reflecting Portuguese, Dutch and British rule. Notable buildings include the 18th-century Dutch Reformed Church. Galle Lighthouse stands on the fort’s southeast tip.
Galle Fort is the most beautiful coastal town in Sri Lanka. Here, life slows down as locals play cricket alongside the beach, travelers walk on the ancient fort walls, and street vendors sell fresh tropical fruit under the palm trees.
