මේ විදිහට සංචාරකයන්ට ත්‍රිරොද රථ පැදවිමට බලපත්‍ර ලබාදිම හරියට මිනිමැරිමට හා අනතුරුකිරිමට නිත්‍යානුකූල බලයක් දිම වැනිය.
අද ශ්‍රි ලාංකික වැසියෙකුට ත්‍රිරෝද රථ පැද විමට බලපත්‍රයක් ලාබාගැනිමට දවස් කිපයක් පුහුනුවිම් කර ලිඛිත පරික්ෂණයකට මුහුනදී එයසමත්වු පසු. ප්‍රයෝගික පරික්ෂණද සමත් විය යුතුය. එහෙත් ත්‍රිරෝද රථයක් අතගාලවත් නැති සංචාරකයන්ට මෙම බලපත්‍ර ලබා ගැනිමට මම අසා ඇති ආකාරය ඔවුන්ගෙ රටේ රියදුරු බලපත්‍රය හා ගුවන් ගමන් බලපත්‍ර වල ඡායාපිටපත් පමනක් ඇති.

Dambana Vedda Village

Located about 20 km from Mahiyangana and adjacent to the Maduru Oya Wildlife Reservation, is the home of the last surviving aboriginal people of Sri Lanka, known as the Wannila Aththo or “forest dwellers.” Historically referred to as the Yaksha Tribe, many of them have integrated into mainstream Sinhala or Tamil societies, with only a few thousand remaining in the dry zones.

The Wannila Aththo speak a unique language similar to Sinhalese and hold distinct religious beliefs, including offerings to various gods and the belief that their dead return as yakkas to protect their families.

Dambana is also the residence of the tribe's leader, the Maha-Hoora, whose house attracts visitors. When he is away, his brother greets guests and provides insights into their language while understanding Sinhalese. Meetings with elders take place in two clay huts nearby.

Another point of interest is the Tomb of Tissahami, the former leader who lived to be 116 and was chief for over 100 years until his death in 1998. The tomb is located about half a kilometer into the Maduru Oya jungle from the Maha-Hoora' huts.
