If there is one thing I know about Sri Lankans, it’s that we are a bunch of resilient people who unite during times like this and help each other. We have our own imperfections to solve, But when s**t hits the ceiling, We Rise! We rise together irrespective of what faith we represent.
It’s that time again. Time we need to come together. We will get through this. I know we will. We know we will. We have often surprised ourselves of what we have achieved when we stood together. We’ve been there, it’s not pleasant, it’s hard, but we have what it takes to get through this. Do what we did when the floods hit us and affected many of our countrymen. Blaming politicians or officials isn’t going to take us anywhere. This is not an attack on the Christians. It’s an attack against all of us irrespective of our religious beliefs. It’s an attack against our brothers and sisters.
We are Sri Lankans. Let’s stand with our own during this time of need. No force is stronger than us. The world is watching. It’s time to show them who we really are.
