සදාහරිත මිහිදුම් සංචාරක කලාපය ✨ උරුමය සුරකිමු • සංචාරකත්වය ප්රවර්ධනය කරමු • දකුණු ලකට ආවේණික සන්නාමකරණයන් ගොඩ නගමු 🇱🇰
ඉතිහාසය, සංස්කෘතිය, උරුමය සහ සත්කාරශීලීත්වයෙන් සපිරි ශ්රී ලංකාවේ දකුණු පළාත ලෝක සංචාරක සිතියමේ තවත් ශක්තිමත් ගමනාන්තයක් ලෙස ඉදිරියට ගමන් කරමින් සිටී. දකුණු පළාතෙ ගාල්ල, මාතර හා සබරගමුව පළාතේ රත්නපුර දිස්ත්රික්කය යා කරමින් සදාහරිත මිහිදුම් කලාපයක් ලෙස සංවර්ධනය කිර්රමේ සමාරම්භක අවස්ථාව දකුණු පළාත් ආණ්ඩුකාර මහාචාර්ය සුසිරිපාල මානවඩු මහතාගේ ප්රධානත්වයන් හා සංචාරක නියෝජ්යය අමාත්යය රුවන් රණසිංහ මහතාගේ සහභාගීත්වයන් තවලම ප්රාදේශීය ලේකම් කාර්යාලයේදී පැවත්විණි.
මෙහිදී රුහුණු සංචාරක කාර්යාංශයේ සභාපති පී.ජී.ජී.එස් ජයාන් මහතා සදහන් කලේ පිටබැද්දර, දෙණියාය, නෙළුව හා තවලම ආශ්රිතව මේ වනවිටත් කාර්යාංශය සංවර්ධන ව්යාපෘතීන් රාශියක් සිදු කර ඇති අතර ඉදිරියටත් සිදු කිරීමට ප්රතිපාදන වෙන් කර ඇති බවයි. විශේෂයන් මෙලෙසින් ව්යාපෘතීන් සිදු කරද්දි මෙම කළාපය තුළ වූ පොදු ලක්ෂණ නිසාත් විධිමත් සංවර්ධනයක් ඔස්සේ සංචාරක කලාපයක් ලෙස සංවර්ධනය කිරීමේ අවශ්යතාවය රුහුණු සංචාරක කාර්යාංශය විසින් හදුනා ගන්නා
ලදි. එම නිසා ගාල්ල, මාතර හා රත්නපුර දිස්ත්රික්ක වල සදහාරිත පරිසර කලාප ඒකාබද්ධ කරමින් සංවර්ධනය කිරීමේ යෝජනාව ගාල්ල දිස්ත්රික් පාර්ලිමේන්තු මන්ත්රී ටී.කේ ජයසුන්දර මන්ත්රී යෝජනාවක් ලෙස අවධානයට යොමු වී සියළුම දෙනාගෙ සහභාගීත්වයන් ක්රියාත්මක කිරීමට ආරම්භ කිරීම පිළිබදව කාර්යාංශයේ ප්රසාදය හිමිවේ. රුහුණු සංචාරක කාර්යාංශය හදුන්වා දී ඇති *Fort to Forest Heritage Trail* ගාල්ල කොටුවෙන් ආරම්භ වී සිංහරංජ වනාන්තරයන් අවසන් වන අතර මෙය මෙම නව කලාපය සන්නාමකරණය වෙනුවන් යොදා ගත හැකි හොදම හා ප්රායෝගිකම වැඩසයහන වනු ඇත.
මෙම අවස්ථාවට ගාල්ල දිස්ත්රික් පාර්ලිමේන්තු මන්ත්රීවරුන් වන තිලංක යූ ගමගේ සහ නිශාන්ත පෙරේරා මැතිතුමන්ලා, මාතර දිස්ත්රික් ගරු පාර්ලිමේන්තු මන්ත්රී ලාල් ප්රේමනාත් මැතිතුමන්, දකුණු පළාත් ප්රධාන ලේකම් චන්දිම සී. මුහන්දිරම් මහතා, ගාල්ල දිස්ත්රික් ලේකම් කේ.යූ. චන්ද්රලාල් මහතා, රුහුණු සංචාරක කාර්යාංශයේ උප සභාපති රවී ජයවර්ධන මහතා හා කළමනාකාර අධ්යක්ෂ එම්.ඒ.කේ.එන් ගුණවර්ධන ඇතුළු කාර්යාංශයේ නිළධාරීන්, ප්රාදේශීය ලේකම්වරුන්, ශ්රී ලංකා සංචාරක සංවර්ධන අධිකාරිය, ආසියානු සංවර්ධන බැංකුව නියෝජිතයින්, සංචාරක ක්ෂේත්රයට අදාළ රාජ්ය ආයතන, පෞද්ගලික අංශයේ ව්යාපාරිකයින් සහ ප්රාදේශීය ප්රජා නියෝජිතයින් ඇතුළු පිරිසක් එක්ව සිටියහ.

The Southern Province of Sri Lanka, enriched with history, culture, heritage, nature, and warm hospitality, continues to move forward as a stronger destination on the global tourism map.
The inaugural programme to develop an “𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐧 𝐌𝐢𝐬𝐭 𝐓𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐞 ” connecting the districts of Galle and Matara in the Southern Province together with Ratnapura District in the Sabaragamuwa Province, on 14th of May was held at the Thawalama Divisional Secretariat under the patronage of Southern Province Governor Prof. Susiripala Manawadu and Deputy Minister of Tourism Ruwan Ranasinghe.
During the event, the Chairman of the Ruhunu Tourist Bureau P.G.G.S Jayan stated that several tourism development projects have already been implemented in areas including Pitabeddara, Deniyaya, Neluwa, and Thawalama, while further allocations have also been made for future developments. He further emphasized that due to the common environmental and cultural characteristics shared within this region, the Bureau identified the importance of developing these areas under a well-planned and integrated tourism zone.
Accordingly, the proposal to combine and develop the evergreen environmental regions of Galle, Matara, and Ratnapura districts received attention through a proposal presented by Galle District Member of Parliament T.K. Jayasundara, and the Bureau expressed its appreciation for the initiative being launched with the participation of all relevant stakeholders.
The Fort to Forest Heritage Trail, introduced by the Ruhunu Tourist Bureau, begins from the historic Galle Fort and extends to the Sinharaja Rainforest. This initiative is expected to become one of the most practical and impactful programmes for branding and promoting this newly proposed tourism zone.
The occasion was attended by Members of Parliament Thilanka U Gamage, Nishantha Perera, and Lal Premanath, Southern Province Chief Secretary Chandima C. Muhandiram, Galle District Secretary K.U. Chandralal, Vice Chairman of the Ruhunu Tourist Bureau Ravi Jayawardhana, Managing Director M.A.K.N. Gunawardhana and officials of the Bureau, Divisional Secretaries, representatives of the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority, the Asian Development Bank, tourism-related government institutions, private sector stakeholders, and community representatives.
