We recently had the privilege of taking 3 incredible guests on our "Roots, Ruins & Wilderness" 8-day journey through Sri Lanka — a tour that truly brought the island's extraordinary architectural and cultural heritage to life! 🇱🇰
Here's a glimpse of the architectural wonders they experienced 👇
🪨 Sigiriya Rock Citadel — A 5th-century fortress rising 200 metres from the plains, built by King Kashyapa. Ancient frescoes, the iconic Mirror Wall, and panoramic views that take your breath away.
⛰️ Pidurangala — The perfect sunrise vantage point to admire Sigiriya's dramatic silhouette, framed by jungle and golden light at 5 AM.
🏯 Anuradhapura — A UNESCO World Heritage city of towering dagobas, royal ruins, and the sacred Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi — the oldest historically documented tree in the world.
🪷 Isurumuniya Temple — A 2,000-year-old rock temple carved into black granite, home to the legendary Isurumuniya Lovers — one of the finest masterpieces of ancient Sri Lankan sculpture.
🌿 Ritigala Forest Monastery — No dagobas. No Buddha statues. Just moss-covered stone pathways, ancient meditation platforms, and deep jungle silence. Truly off the beaten path. 🤫
⛵ Lunuganga — Geoffrey Bawa's Estate — Where architecture meets nature in the most poetic way. The legendary Sri Lankan architect's country retreat overlooking Dedduwa Lake in Bentota is pure magic.
🕌 Galle Fort — A UNESCO-listed Portuguese and Dutch colonial fortress on the southern coast. Cobblestone lanes, centuries-old churches, and ocean-facing ramparts that feel like stepping into another era.
🕌 Jami Ul-Alfar Mosque, Colombo — The iconic 1909 red and white candy-striped landmark — one of the most photographed pieces of architecture in the capital.

• Valid driver's license (tourist vehicle experience preferred)
• Strong knowledge of Sri Lanka's tourism destinations & road network
• Friendly, professional & presentable
• Good communication skills (English is a plus)
• Honest & reliable

💼 What You'll Do:
• Transport tourists across Sri Lanka on guided tour itineraries
• During off-season, the vehicle will be allocated for Uber driving

🌿 When guests give a 10/10 — you know Sri Lanka worked its magic! ✨

Jessica & her partner just wrapped up an incredible journey through the island — and we couldn't be prouder of the experience they had. From the laid-back wilderness of Wilpattu (sloth bears stole the show! 🐻) to a surprise sighting of a majestic Tusker elephant in Habarana, the wildlife encounters were nothing short of spectacular.

They explored lush waterfalls, soaked in the beauty of Jungle Hideaway and the White Villa, and savoured every bite of authentic Sri Lankan cuisine — all thanks to their wonderful people in Sri Lanka, who made every mile an adventure. 🍛🌴

Moments like these are exactly why we do what we do. 🙏

🐘 Magic at Hurulu Eco Park!
​We went deep into the wild with the experts at Back of Beyond, and it paid off in the most incredible way. 🌿
​While exploring the rugged terrain of Hurulu, we were the only ones there to witness this: a massive male elephant sitting back on his hind legs to reach the high branches. It was a masterclass in strength and strategy—and we had front-row seats to the show!
​Why we’re still speechless:
​The Sighting: A rare "two-leg" stretch that most people never see in a lifetime.
​The Vibe: Just us, the rustle of the leaves, and this magnificent bull in his natural element.
​This is exactly why we travel—to see the world at its most raw and beautiful. 🇱🇰✨
