Uva Wellassa University (UWU) is a national entrepreneurial university in Badulla, Sri Lanka, founded in 2005 to focus on value-addition to national resources through market-oriented programs. It is unique for its entrepreneurial approach, offering programs in areas like aquatic resources, export agriculture, IT, and tourism, with a goal of producing skilled, well-rounded graduates ready for private-sector employment and national development.

ඌව වෙල්ලස්ස විශ්වවිද්යාලය (UWU) යනු ශ්රී ලංකාවේ බදුල්ල ප්රදේශයේ පිහිටි ජාතික ව්යවසායක විශ්වවිද්යාලයක් වන අතර එය 2005 දී ආරම්භ කරන ලද අතර එය වෙළඳපොළ කේන්ද්ර කරගත් වැඩසටහන් හරහා ජාතික සම්පත්වලට අගය එකතු කිරීම කෙරෙහි අවධානය යොමු කරයි. එය එහි ව්යවසායක ප්රවේශය සඳහා අද්විතීය වන අතර, ජලජ සම්පත්, අපනයන කෘෂිකර්මාන්තය, තොරතුරු තාක්ෂණ සහ සංචාරක වැනි ක්ෂේත්රවල වැඩසටහන් ඉදිරිපත් කරන අතර, පෞද්ගලික අංශයේ රැකියා සහ ජාතික සංවර්ධනය සඳහා සූදානම් දක්ෂ, හොඳින් වටකුරු උපාධිධාරීන් බිහි කිරීමේ ඉලක්කය ඇත.
ව්යවසායක විශ්වවිද්යාලය:
ජාතික සම්පත් භාවිතා කිරීම කෙරෙහි අවධානය යොමු කරන වෙළඳපොළ කේන්ද්ර කරගත්, අගය එකතු කිරීමේ වැඩසටහන් සඳහා විශේෂිත වූ ශ්රී ලංකාවේ ඇති එකම ව්යවසායක විශ්වවිද්යාලය UWU වේ.
වෙළඳපොළ කේන්ද්ර කරගත් වැඩසටහන්:
එහි වැඩසටහන් වෙළඳපොළේ විකාශනය වන අවශ්යතා සපුරාලීම සඳහා නිර්මාණය කර ඇති අතර අදාළත්වය සහතික කිරීම සඳහා කෙටි දැනුම්දීමකින් වෙනස් වීමට යටත් වේ.
ජාතික සම්පත් කේන්ද්ර කරගත්:
UWU හි උපාධි වැඩසටහන් ශ්රී ලංකාවේ ස්වාභාවික සම්පත් පදනමට අගය එකතු කිරීම සඳහා කුසලතා සහ දැනුම ලබා දීම අරමුණු කරයි.
පුළුල් පාදක සහ සාමාන්ය අධ්යාපනය:
දක්ෂ හා හොඳින් වටකුරු පුද්ගලයින් බිහි කිරීම සඳහා විශේෂිත කුසලතා සමඟ පුළුල් සාමාන්ය අධ්යාපනයක් ලබා දීම විශ්ව විද්යාලයේ අරමුණයි.
අධ්යයන ව්යුහය
පීඨ හයක්:
UWU සත්ව විද්යා සහ අපනයන කෘෂිකර්මය, ව්යවහාරික විද්යා කළමනාකරණය සහ තාක්ෂණික අධ්යයන ඇතුළු පීඨ හයකින් සමන්විත වේ.
අද්විතීය උපාධි වැඩසටහන්:
විශ්ව විද්යාලය අද්විතීය උපාධි වැඩසටහන් දහතුනක් පිරිනමන අතර, ඒ සෑම එකක්ම ජාතික සම්පත්වලට අගය එකතු කිරීමේ තේමාව වටා නිර්මාණය කර ඇත.
උපාධි වැඩසටහන් අධ්යයන වාර අටක් (අධ්යයන වර්ෂ හතරක්) පුරා පවත්වනු ලබන අතර ඒවා UWU ට අනන්ය වේ.
ස්ථානය:
UWU පිහිටා ඇත්තේ කෘෂිකාර්මික හා ඛනිජ සම්පත් වලින් පොහොසත් ඌව පළාතේ බදුල්ල නගරයේ ය.
දැක්ම:
විශ්ව විද්යාලයේ දැක්ම වන්නේ උසස් අධ්යාපනයේ විශිෂ්ටත්වය සඳහා දැනුම මධ්යස්ථානයක් ලෙස සේවය කරමින් ජාතික සම්පත් පදනමට අගය එකතු කිරීම සඳහා විශිෂ්ටත්වයේ මධ්යස්ථානයක් වීමයි.
