Traveling is not only about seeing new places. It’s also about respecting and protecting them.

As travelers, we all carry a responsibility toward the environment, the communities, and the countries we visit. Every action matters, from the waste we leave behind to the choices we make during our journey. A beautiful destination should not suffer because of tourism. It should be protected through it.

Standing in front of the Impact Center in Sigiriya is something impossible to ignore, an elephant built entirely from plastic waste collected around the area.

More than an artwork, it is a reflection of reality. A reminder of how poor waste management and plastic pollution are slowly harming our environment.

But we wanted to turn that message into action.

Today, visitors can place their used plastic PET bottles directly into the elephant’s mouth, transforming it into a symbol of responsibility and change. Every bottle collected is carefully handled by our team and directed through proper recycling and sustainable waste management processes.

What once polluted the environment now becomes part of awareness, action, and education.

It may sound impossible to some, but every movement begins with a vision people once thought was too big. We believe the Earth deserves healing, the oceans deserve life, and future generations deserve a world not buried under plastic waste.

At this point, the world keeps going because of the people who still care about the .

Even after everything we’ve seen, the , the dying oceans, the suffering of animals, and the damage caused by , there are still people who continue to ignore the issue and choose convenience over .

But there are also people who care. People who are willing to learn. People who are willing to make an effort.

And for that, we are deeply grateful to our who chose to be part of the change.
