Moonwater 54 Moonwater is a tranquil, tropical Sri Lankan villa fully staffed with A/C, yoga shala, Pool. Our property is fully staffed with full time resident housekeeper.

Close to gorgeous beaches and Galle. 9 double ensuite rooms but limited to 10 adult guests. This unique property was an original village house renovated true to local design and is available to rent for holidays, weddings, retreats, corporate team away-days and workshops, sleeping a maximum of 10 guests. Recently, we have upgraded the property which now includes full A/C throughout plus a dedicate

d Yoga and Meditation Pavilion. There is also an outside dining area which is next to the swimming pool. Moonwater is all on one spacious and open plan level apart from a private double en suite bedroom with a balcony that is situated above the converted garage under the mango tree. Its structure highlights the beauty of Sri Lankan architecture and encourages natural breezes throughout the house. Bedrooms spill out onto private courtyards giving access to the tropical gardens and the pool. A variety of indoor seating areas welcome company, conversation and laughter. It is a solid beach house that flows from one room to the other offering both privacy and open spaces for entertaining. "The highlight of our trip was watching the surrounding wild life from the stunning outdoor swimming pool". An entire morning can be spent exploring the maze of narrow roadways lined with Dutch and British Colonial era buildings that are still in use, sturdy ramparts overlooking Galle's international cricket stadium, and scattering of shops, art galleries, museums, boutique hotels and cafes. Alternatively, why not take a boat ride on Koggala lake where rural life unfolds and along the way visit a village temple or a fragrant cinnamon estate. Snorkeling and Scuba diving is possible for all ages in Unawatuna Bay and there are also several surf points nearby for you to enjoy or you can spend your time in the colourful beachside village of Unawatuna sampling the cafes, restaurants and shops, sitting at the cafe tables as the water laps at your feet or just lie for hours on a variety of sun lounges.

We have now signed contracts and taken on the management of our neighbour’s property.
We have opened up the adjoining wall and gardens.
This means we now have extra 4 guest double bedrooms (2 with extra room of dining & kitchen facilities) available for rent: either individually, entire 2 properties for yoga retreats, or the entire new Moonwater ‘Annex’ for families or groups.
All rooms having AC, Wifi, Ensuites, and access to Pool, gardens, Yoga Shala and Dining facilities.
