Six men. Three 4x4s. One mission — to search for the most unused & challenging 4x4 routes while experiencing the raw beauty of Lesotho’s remote villages.

Far from the busy roads, we ventured deep into the mountains of Berea district, tackling forgotten tracks, crossing rugged terrain, & discovering breathtaking landscapes.

No shortcuts. No ordinary roads. Just adventure, brotherhood, & the beauty of the unknown.

PHASE 2 RECONNAISSANCE TRIP - FROM BEREA(Ha Makhoroana) TO LERIBE(Qoqolosing)🇱🇸

Three vehicles became two after the Disco 4 headed back to Mzansi🇿🇦, leaving the two Cruisers to complete the final phase of our reconnaissance trip.

We travelled from Maseru straight to Berea, Ha Makhoroana, where our last Phase 1 reconnaissance trip had ended. After having breakfast at river confluence(where Liotloaneng and Mapheleng river met)we were ready to begin Phase 2 of the journey towards Leribe, Qoqolosing.

Our route took us backwards towards the south, where we crossed the Phuthiatsana River bridge. A few kilometres after the bridge, we turned right onto a gravel road marked by a sign board reading “Nokong.”

From there, we travelled along a long and challenging gravel road, passing through some of the most remote and beautiful villages, including:
Nokong ➡️Sekatakata ➡️Lipetu ➡️Likhopeng ➡️Ha Ts'epe ➡️Tsunyane and many others I can’t recall. Eventually, we joined the tarred road leading towards Katse Dam, A25 if I remember well, but marked on the map as Mandela Road. (Was my 1st time to see that and honestly i was left wondering why?🤷🏻‍♂️)

We turned left and continued through Khethisa High School, Pitseng London and Ha Khomoatsana, before turning onto another gravel road leading towards Outward Bound Dam. From there, we returned to the main road heading towards Hlotse, where we turned right near Joy to the World Secondary School, in the general area of Sebothoane. Another long stretch of gravel road took us all the way to Qoqolosing, where we stopped for a quick lunch and a short break.

With the reconnaissance mission successfully completed, the two Cruisers then headed back to Maseru. On my Giaia GPS app the trip recorded 256.92km💪(Including those extra km’s we added on to the app when we got lost🤣)

PHASE 1 RECONNAISSANCE TRIP – MASERU(Thaba-Bosiu)TO BEREA(Ha Makhoroana)🇱🇸

In search of an adventure-filled getaway that would also reconnect us with nature, we embarked on Phase 1 of our reconnaissance trip on Friday.

With 3 vehicles and 6 brothers, we set off from Thaba Bosiu, heading deep into the beautiful and remote parts of Berea District. Our mission was to explore some of the most unused routes, tackle challenging tracks, and experience the beauty of the most remote villages along the way.

Our 68km route took us through:
Thaba Bosiu ➡️Metolong➡️Sefikeng ➡️Ha Kome ➡️Malimong ➡️Ha Majoro➡️Ha Makhula➡️Mahlatsa➡️Makhoroane. So many times we got lost but villegers took us back to the track( we are so thankful🙏🏻)

The journey was filled with challenging terrain, breathtaking scenery, untouched routes, and the true spirit of adventure. As darkness approached, we finally stopped at Makhoroane, bringing an exciting first phase of the reconnaissance trip to an end.
But the adventure is far from over...
