Witnessed an incredible sight: carp swimming near the shore, basking in the sun. These fish have survived for 32 years in a radioactive environment, at levels close to the health limit.

Discover the Kazkoy Pioneer Camp, a unique 'fairy tale' built exclusively for the children of Chernobyl power plant workers. Located near the Ozh River, this special camp offered a safe haven with radiation levels at 0.18-0.19 microsieverts per hour, deemed almost normal. Built around 1970, the facilities were quite impressive for their time, offering a stark contrast to camps for ordinary citizens.

Glimpses from the main gate to the Chernobyl zone. See the Detityakov checkpoint, a crucial transit point for authorized personnel. They're checking the trunk before we head deeper in.

Exploring two silent sites, one near, one further away. Vast quantities of BTRs, BRDMs, and other military machinery, including trucks, ambulances, and buses, lie abandoned. The lower section of a tank or tankette is also visible.

Standing in the heart of Chernobyl, where the executive committee once stood, now lies the Zone Administration. An old building displays a light board showing real-time radiation data from across the zone, a stark reminder of the invisible threat.

Plans to clear out the Rasokha machinery graveyard went awry. While cleaner machines went for scrap, contaminated ones were moved to a special graveyard. But not everything went as expected. This machinery at the entrance is emitting 4 microsieverts per hour.
