Experience the magic of the shortest night of the year in Neringa! ✨

One of the most beloved Midsummer traditions returns to the Curonian Spit as the air fills with the scent of wild herbs, bonfires, and ancient rituals during the Joninės celebrations and the folklore festival “Tek saulužė ant maračių”. 🌾🔥

This year’s festival is particularly special as we celebrate the 250th anniversary of Martynas Liudvikas Rėza — a poet, folklorist, and one of the most important cultural figures of Lithuania Minor.

From June 20–24, Neringa will come alive with:
🔥 Midsummer bonfires and flower-crown making;
🎶 Traditional songs aboard historic Curonian Lagoon sailboats;
🌿 Herb gathering and Midsummer Eve rituals;
🚶‍♀️ Guided hikes, excursions, and stories from the history of Lithuania Minor;
🌅 Sunrise accompanied by the sound of gongs on the Parnidis Dune;
🎵 Open-air concerts by the sea and lagoon.

The Curonian Spit’s cycling route, part of EuroVelo 10 and EuroVelo 13, is often called the most enjoyable bike route in Lithuania. And honestly, one ride here explains why. 🚲

Freshly renovated, mostly flat and winding through UNESCO-protected landscapes, the route takes you from Baltic Sea shores to quiet pine forests, grey dunes and tiny fishing villages in a matter of kilometres. Sea breeze, pine trees and the occasional urge to take 47 photos of the same dune included.

Along the way:
🦅 birdwatching towers;
🧺 picnic spots in the forest;
🌲 endless pine scent;
🌅 sunsets from the towering dunes;
🏖 beaches so wide they look unreal.

And yes, there’s coffee, sourdough pizza and freshly smoked fish waiting at the finish line too.

On May 30, the Curonian Lagoon will once again be filled with sails, music, and a summer atmosphere. ⛵

The festival “Sveika, Neringa!” invites you to the “Švyturys” Curonian Lagoon boat gathering in Nida. An evening on the water with live music, sunset views, and a 360° floating stage.

The free concert will bring live performances by Monika Linkytė and Solo Ansamblis. 🎶

During the day, join the “Let’s Clean the Curonian Lagoon” initiative, and in the evening gather for the largest boat gathering on the Curonian Lagoon.

Nuo gegužės 15 dienos Nidos švyturio durys vėl tampa atviros visiems lankytojams! ⚓️✨

O prieš apsilankant, keli įdomūs faktai apie vieną ryškiausių Kuršių nerijos simbolių:

- Švyturys stovi ant 51 metro aukščio Urbo kalno, todėl jo šviesa matoma net už 40 kilometrų! 🌊

- Dabartinis švyturys – jau antrasis. Pirmasis, mūrinis, Antrojo pasaulinio karo pabaigoje buvo susprogdintas, o šiandien matomas gelžbetoninis švyturys iškilo 1953 metais. 🕰️

- Švyturys turi unikalų šviesos signalą – du trumpi blyksniai ir ilgesnė pauzė. Būtent taip jis išsiskiria iš kitų Baltijos jūros švyturių. 💡

Užlipę į švyturį galėsite pasigrožėti įspūdinga Kuršių nerijos panorama iš beveik 80 metrų virš jūros lygio. ✨

🕒 Darbo laikas:
👉 Iki gegužės 31 d. – penktadieniais–sekmadieniais, 12–18 val.
👉 Nuo birželio 1 d. iki rugpjūčio 31 d. – kasdien, 12–18 val.

Ever wondered what the view from the top of the Nida Lighthouse looks like? 👀

Starting May 15, the lighthouse is once again open to visitors! ⚓️✨

Before you go, here are a few interesting facts about one of the most iconic landmarks of the Curonian Spit:

- The lighthouse stands on top of the 51-metre-high Urbas Hill, allowing its light to be seen from up to 40 kilometres away! 🌊

- The current lighthouse is actually the second one. The original brick structure was blown up at the end of World War II, while the reinforced concrete lighthouse standing today was built in 1953. 🕰️

- The lighthouse has its own unique light signature — two short flashes followed by a longer pause — helping it stand out from other lighthouses along the Baltic coast. 💡

Climb to the top and take in breathtaking panoramic views of the Curonian Spit from nearly 80 metres above sea level. ✨

Balandis Neringoje dažnai privertė susimąstyti, ar dabar tikrai pavasaris? Orai vis priminė, kokią galingą žiemą turėjome. Tačiau prognozės žada, kad pavasaris pagaliau ne tik pasivaidens, bet ir iš tikrųjų pasirodys! 🌸 Tad kviečiame apsilankyti Kuršių nerijoje, kol sezonas dar neįsibegėjo ir marios priklauso tik jums. 🌅
Dabar geriausias metas:

- stebėti paukščius! 🪶 Kad viską matytum dar aiškiau, užsuk į vieną iš šešių paukščių stebėjimo bokštelių, išsibarsčiusių gražiausiose nerijos raguose ir įlankose.

- Žygiuoti gryname ore. 🥾 Drąsiausi renkasi pėsčiomis įveikti maršrutą Smiltynė-Nida, tačiau sau tinkamą taką ras kiekvienas.
