❗️Update on quarantine in Lithuania❗️

The country's government decided on Wednesday that the nationwide quarantine in Lithuania is to be extended until at least April 13.

Under the quarantine, Lithuania has closed its borders to foreigners, banned big gatherings and ordered non-essential customer servicing businesses to close.

After the period given for foreigners to transit Lithuania ends on Thursday, they will only be able to cross the country in organised convoys, if necessary.

❗️Important update on foreigner transit in Lithuania❗️

The Government of Lithuania decided to extend the transit period for citizens of other countries to return home through the territory of the Republic of Lithuania until 26 March 2020, 00:00.

Until 26 March 2020, 00:00 transit of persons returning to their country of residence through the territory of the Republic of Lithuania without the stopover is permitted, by forming groups of persons or means of transport and ensuring the compulsory es**rt (convoy) of these groups from the entry into the Republic of Lithuania to departure through the international border crossing points.

❗️Exit and entry information for Poland, Belarus, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia due to COVID-19 😷❗️

POLAND
From 03.14, foreigners will not be permitted entry into Poland. This will apply until 03.24 and may be extended further. You are permitted to leave Poland, but be aware many flights are being cancelled.

BELARUS
There are currently no travel restrictions in place as a result of the worldwide outbreak. The Ministry of Health asks all travelers entering Belarus to inform border control officials if they have visited countries where COVID-19 is circulating actively.

LITHUANIA
Quarantine is introduced on 03.16. Once the quarantine is in place, foreigners will be allowed to enter the territory of Lithuania until midnight, 03.19 on condition they cross without indispensable stop, but otherwise will be banned from entering the country.

LATVIA
Effective on 03.17, the government of Latvia will close its borders to all but Latvian citizens and Latvian residents. There are no restrictions for foreigners to depart Latvia.

ESTONIA
Starting from 03.17, foreigners are allowed to transit Estonia on the way to their home country if they do not show symptoms of COVID-19. There are no restrictions for exiting the country.

We want to inform you that due to prevention of the Corona virus, Government of Vilnius city announced that from tomorrow 2020.03.13 till 2020.04.17 will be cancelled:
• All the indoor events from 100 people
• All of the public events that invite people to gather together.

In order to avoid virus spread and stop it in the very beginning from tomorrow 2020.03.13 till 2020.04.17 will be closed:
• All the public and entertainment places like: museums, cinemas, gyms, libraries etc.
• All the educational institutions like schools, universities, kindergartens etc.
We stay positive and believe that this is just the temporary inconveniences.

One of our most recommended cognitive trail in Vilnius is Pūčkoriai Cognitive Trail. The trail is 5 km long and walk takes about 1,5-2 hours. Also here you will see 65 meter-high Pūčkoriai outcrop which is the most impressive and highest in Lithuania. Down below the outcrop much of the trail stretches near Vilnelė river. 🌊

During the warm season it is especially fun to go canoeing on the river. Many companies offer about 2 hours swim that starts at Belmont Dam and ends at the White Bridge in the city center. 🛶 Or you can take a guide for a tour in this area and then have lunch at the entertainment and leisure center Belmontas which is beloved by locals and offers a variety of local dishes. 😋
