Baltic Sea Cup Motocross Returns as Eastern Europe’s Premier Season Opener in 2026
The motocross event “Baltic Sea Cup” has become a well-established, high-level season-opening competition in the Baltic States, bringing together elite riders from the Baltics, Scandinavia, and other countries.
Recognized as the largest motocross season-opening event in Eastern Europe, the Baltic Sea Cup will take place for the 7th consecutive year, continuing to attract a steadily growing number of participants and spectators. In 2026, the event is further strengthened through its partnership with the renowned motor oil brand Repsol.
This year, the competition will also be broadcast live on television, with coverage provided by Sportacentrs TV and TV4, allowing motorsport fans to follow the action beyond the race track.
The event is organized by Lauris Freibergs, former European Champion and World Championship participant. The competition is held in his hometown of Liepāja, Latvia, at the “Moto Park Lauma” circuit - a track personally designed and built by Freibergs himself.
The “Baltic Sea Cup 2026 Repsol Grand Prix” is planned to feature a strong and well-known line-up of riders, intense on-track battles, and a full program of exciting activities for spectators throughout the event.
“Baltic Sea Cup” continues to be one of the most anticipated motocross season-opening events in Eastern Europe. See you there!
