T.Carter's trip to Lithuania from the United States was long and quite complicated, but despite that, the footballer was in a high mood in the first training session and joked with his new teammates.
"I am very happy to have the opportunity to join the Gintra team. Before I arrived, I heard a lot of good reviews about this club from my team-mate National Team Toriana Patterson, who has played here before. I feel very good from the very first moments, I was warmly received by the staff and teammates. I came with the goal to do something special together with "Gintra" in the Champions League ". - before the first training, the team's newcomer shared his thoughts.
Asked about his upcoming debut in the UEFA Champions League, Carter did not hesitate to intervene: “it is a dream come true. I have already realized one of my dreams - I participated in the 2019 World Championship with the national team of Jamaica. The UEFA Champions League tournament is another big goal for me. I know that the Gintra team had very solid performances in this tournament a few years ago, so I hope that this season we will bring back those memories and move as far as possible. ”- the newcomer did not hide his determination.
In recent years, the career of a talented footballer has been somewhat slowed down by the global coronavirus pandemic, which has made it difficult to find a force club. Prior to that, Carter had signed a contract with a famous club in Rome. The game was characterized by rough play and many physical challenges on the wet field, but AFC showed great heart and had a good game.
“The stage of my career in Rome did not turn out as I had hoped and the team. However, sadness and grief do not make sense, as I only look forward. Today I am here and thanked the club leaders, coaches for trusting me and giving me a chance to return to my best form of sport and prove that I can be useful to the team. This week, the Lithuanian champions will go to a friendly tournament in Poland, where they will play two control matches. On Friday, July 9, ours will test their strength with the eleven of Katowice GKS, and on July 12, they will meet with the national champion Sosnoviec KKS "Czarni".
