Ben Gammoud in the middle of the Souss Massa National Park, where you will be staying, is a unique village

with many ruins of old, traditional style buildings. It has a large, teaching mosque and sand-track roads, which lead to unique fishing spots never fished before by the real sports fisherman! The village population is composed of Berbers and Saharan Arabs. They speak a mixture of Berber and Arabic and their second language is French. Sidi Bibi, the nearest market town, is just 5 minutes away and has everything you may need - banks, shops, a fishing store, electronic stores and restaurants and internet cafes. A 15 minute drive south of Ben Gammoud is Tifnit, a fishing village, which offers some of the freshest fish you could wish for. You can watch the daily catches coming in and, with the help of our guide, bargain for your dinner of fresh lobster, tuna or bass. Nearby Agadir is a modern city. It was rebuilt after it was destroyed by an earthquake in 1960 and now has a new marina with modern shops. There is a large, open-air fish restaurant in the old port. This is the number one bait for huge courbine as recommended by fishing holidays morocco. As well as being the best bait for many fish they of course make for an incredibly healthy and tasty snack for beach BBQ , so sit back and sip mint tea, watch the BBQ and cuddle your loved ones while fishing and awaiting the first tremble of a rod that could wrench your arm for the next hour and more .

Good range of bass lures will go from bright to dull as you never know their tasyes on the day. As we all know though lures are expensive so a good tactic utilised by fishing holidays morocco is to test snag with the cheaper lures. So on a new area or bay simply pop a low cost lure on and do a few test casts before risking your expensive beauties on the unforgiving rocks.

On our beautiful coasts By Ben Gammmoud we don't have packed tourist sardine beaches, these beaches are beautifully isolated. Some days we only see 2/3 people And the odd camel. We are ideal for ladies who want to grab some sun and the guys can bring the lager in the cool box , set the rods up and get the BBQ fired up in anticipation. Even better grab some friends as we can cater for parties up to 10 persons, you can even sleep in a beautiful tent on top of the house, this is relaxed fishing. We also have the best lobster in the world , full stop. I have eaten lobster in 11 countries, nothing comes close for size and taste, and it's very cheap.

Just speaking with our resident and amazing tagine cooking chef, he tells me in the last few weeks a local fisherman from Ben Gammmoud landed giant Corbin off 35kg from the shore. That's one big prowler. Today a few minutes ago it's 21 in temp on our beautiful sun deck at 6pm , certainly beats the 4 here in uk. Feb and march way hotter , so folks don't look at the weather app for agadir, we are below and inland a little so always lovely and warm usually.

Exciting times
we are going after tuna, so some more serious heavy duty tackle is being assembled uk now and ready to be shipped over in February.
