🐴 Barb cross stallion around 10 years old
🏇Perfect for experienced riders looking for a calm horse

Ayour started life as a carriage horse and the was bought by someone who raced him up and down the beach. He was aggressive with humans (men in particular) and other horses. He was underweight with no muscle and was a shell of a horse.

He’s been with us around 2 years now and people who knew him before don’t believe he is the same horse. He is our cuddliest horse and is calm with the other horses. Whilst he will gallop on the beach with a little push his favourite places are our sandy and gravel tracks in land are his favourite and it’s where you really feel him open up.

He is the perfect horse for an experienced rider looking for a horse that will really look after them on the trails.

Our landscapes have changed so dramatically this year. We had a cold wet winter (well in Moroccan terms!) which gave us a late winter / spring season of beautiful wildflower meadows and verdant countryside.

We are now in the midst of a hot, dry summer bringing an early harvest of wheat and barley leaving behind stunning golden landscapes.

There is so much beauty in each season and we can’t quite decide which we prefer.

When we take a break from the saddle we like to show you the real Morocco. This week we headed to the weekly market in Essaouira.

Essaouira’s Sunday market is a mixture of a flea market filled with antique and vintage gems and a fresh fruit and veg market where most locals stock up on fresh produce for the week.

The produce is super fresh and seasonal…paradise for those who love to cook!

After rummaging through all the stalls we of course had to stop for coffee and before heading back to our accommodation to follow the kittens lead and have a poolside nap!
