The Ourika valley - named after the homonymous river - is a valley in the Moroccan High Atlas located southeast of Marrakech. It is mainly populated by people speaking Berber and the Chleuh dialect. Despite its proximity to Marrakech, it is still considered a relatively preserved valley, both by its nature and by its traditional mountain lifestyle.
