The "Grab" with the Moroccan dialect or water waiter calls for a water drink.
" Who wants to drink a water, who wants to drink a water", "cool water, cool water", "Cool your thirsty":
This is how you hear the "Garab" or the sage man in Morocco calling out loud and offering you a drink of water for a little money or a words of thanks.
Dress distinctive:
he traditional red trousers and the distinctive language and also the small bell to call up on passers-by and "Pocket" where he puts same money colecting from his job. "Terrazza", which is a big hat that protects him from the hot sun of summer, decorated with ancient coins, attached to the "bowls" - copper bronze - shiny, where he gives the water to the passangers to calme-down the thirst.
In the past, the "Grab" was spread across popular markets, squares and ceremonies. Nowadays, all the houses have water taps, they stand in front of hotels with their beautiful and different uniforms " dress" to attract the attention of foreigners who like to take pictures with them for same money.
"Crab"has a good reputation among all people as they respect him and appreciate their work.

Things to see in Marrakech : Beautiful gate Bab Agnaou.

giving access to the medina in the past, the 10 gates through the walls, “bab” in arabic, are often impressive. some of them have inspired other towns of the kingdom.
Bab Agnaou: (the gate of “the hornless ram”) was given this name because it had lost its two towers. it was built in blue-grey stone from gueliz. Nowadays it has become nearly red because of the desert sand brought by the wind. it is the main entrance to the kasbah.

Bab Agnaou:
Est la porte d’entrée pour le quartier de la Kasbah. Une des plus belles, qui avait à l’origine deux tours aujourd’hui disparues, d’où son nom “porte du bélier sans cornes”. Construite au début du XIIè siècle, en pierre des carrières de Guéliz, elle est décorée d’arcs impressionnants de différents motifs.

Bahia Palace in Marrakech 1866

Bahia (meaning Brilliante) Palace was originally built in 1866 for Si Moussa, the chamberlain, then the grand vizier for Moulay Hassan. His son Ba Ahmed also a chamberlain, late vizier and regent, became kingmaker by appointed 14-year old son of Hassan's and took full control of the state till his death in 1900. Ba Ahmed began to enlarge the palace (containing a small riad and a large riad) by adding a mosque, a hammam, and a vegetable garden. When he died, his servants ransacked the palace, but it was restored and became the French Resident General's house during the French Protectorate (1912 - 1956).

The Palace is beautifully decorated.

Koutoubia Mosuqe

built date : 1120.
Reshuffling date : in 1162 under the power of the Almohad emir Abu Yusuf Yaqub al-Mansur. The work finished with a superb minaret, is a fine piece architectural of Spanish-Moorish influences.
its construction was begun under the Berber dynasty "Almoravid ". The most biggest monument in Marrakech, it is the best known and most visible monument in the city. Its minaret is the highest with its 69 meters .

Jamaa El Fna & Medina ( Old Quarter) And Souks ( Market).

Marrakech's heart, Jemaa Fna, the most famous place in the city either for tourists or for a local people. True place of meetings and exchanges for centuries especially with merchants of traditional clothes and souvenirs. The whole city seems to spend at one time or another during the day. But from the evening the atmosphere changes and the place is transformed into a veritable open-air theater musicians, dancers, snake charmers, beggars ...
What is unique to the Jemaa el Fna square, street restaurants are coming to live in the evening to serve Moroccan specialties, tea with mint, orange juice ... A beautiful festive atmosphere where you can taste different dishes at moderate prices; However, one should not worry too much about hygiene !!!
Jemaa el Fna square is the entrance to the souks of the medina and the Koutoubia Mosque, all are close to each other. .
