Day 1 – Marrakech – High Atlas – Aït Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate
After breakfast, departure from Marrakech toward southern Morocco via the spectacular High Atlas Mountains, crossing the Tizi n’Tichka Pass with scenic stops along the way. You visit the UNESCO-listed Kasbah of Aït Ben Haddou, one of the most iconic historical sites in the country. In the afternoon, continue to Ouarzazate, known as the gateway to the Sahara and Morocco’s film capital. Time to relax and enjoy the evening. Overnight in Ouarzazate.
Day 2 – Ouarzazate – Skoura – Valley of Roses – Dades Valley
In the morning, you may explore Ouarzazate, including the Taourirt Kasbah or nearby kasbahs. The journey continues through the palm grove of Skoura and the Valley of Roses, famous for its rose products and beautiful scenery. As you approach the Dades Valley, the landscape becomes increasingly dramatic with deep canyons and unique rock formations. Arrival in the afternoon and overnight in a hotel or riad in the Dades Valley.
Day 3 – Dades Valley – Todra Gorge – Merzouga Desert
After breakfast, departure toward the impressive Todra Gorge, where you can enjoy a short walk between the high canyon walls. The tour then continues through desert villages and ancient caravan routes, passing Tinghir, Erfoud, and Rissani before reaching Merzouga in the afternoon. Here you begin your Sahara experience with a camel ride across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi at sunset, arriving at your desert camp. Dinner, Berber music, and overnight in a desert camp under the stars.
Day 4 – Merzouga Desert Exploration
After breakfast in the desert, the day is dedicated to exploring the Merzouga region by 4x4. You visit nomadic families, enjoy traditional Gnawa music in Khamlia village, and discover desert landscapes, fossil areas, and oases. In the afternoon, return to Merzouga for free time to relax or climb the dunes. Dinner and overnight in a hotel or desert lodge near the dunes.
Day 5 – Merzouga – Ziz Valley – Middle Atlas – Marrakech
Early departure from Merzouga after breakfast for the return journey to Marrakech. The drive passes through the scenic Ziz Valley with its vast palm groves, then continues across the Middle Atlas Mountains with stops along the way. You arrive in Marrakech in the evening, marking the end of an unforgettable desert adventure.
