Located at the edge of a desert plateau, at the outlet of the upper Dadès Valley (more than 1500 m high) Boumalne Dades is originated from an old way of transhumance, controlled by the Aït Atta Tribe of Jbel Saghro and also used by neighboring tribes of Mgouna, Aït Sedrate, Aït Hdiddou and Aït Marghad between summer pastures in the High Atlas and Saghro wintering ones. Most of its residents like those of the Dades Valley, are berber people

Day 1: Marrakech

Day 2: Marrakech to Ouarzazate
- Depart Marrakech and head towards Ouarzazate, known as the "Gateway to the Sahara Desert."
- Stop at the UNESCO-listed Ait Benhaddou, a stunning kasbah and filming location for many movies and TV shows.
- Continue to Ouarzazate and visit the Taourirt Kasbah and Atlas Film Studios.
- Overnight stay in Ouarzazate.

Day 3: Ouarzazate to Tinghir
- Depart Ouarzazate and drive through the scenic High Atlas Mountains.
- Stop at the Dades Valley and Todgha Gorge for breathtaking views and optional hiking.
- Arrive in Tinghir and explore the traditional Berber villages and lush palm groves.
- Overnight stay in Tinghir or nearby.

Day 4: Tinghir to Merzouga
- Depart Tinghir and continue your journey towards Merzouga.
- Stop at the stunning Erfoud Oasis and visit a local fossil workshop.
- Arrive in Merzouga and embark on a camel trek into the Erg Chebbi sand dunes.
- Experience a magical sunset over the Sahara Desert.
- Enjoy a traditional Berber dinner and spend the night in a desert camp under the starry sky.

Day 5: Merzouga to Marrakech
- Wake up early to witness the sunrise over the dunes.
- After breakfast, depart Merzouga and begin your journey back to Marrakech.
- Stop for lunch in a local town along the way.
- Arrive back in Marrakech in the evening,
concluding your memorable trip to Merzouga.
