Sahara Nomad Experience began as Sand and Stars 5 years ago, with the idea of changing the concepts of exploring the Sahara desert and the cities along the way to this dazzling destination. The time and new plans made Sand and Stars stay on standby, however, the dream of making the difference and something special always remained alive. After a conversation in Tamraght, South Morocco, between two

enterprising friends not happy with the current tours. Travelers are practically deceived with normal tours, put in long journeys to the desert and without any infrastructure end up in the middle of nowhere, take a camel ride, some photos, exchange few words with the nomads and are brought back to their cities of departure. Sahara Nomad Experience was created to change it, a totally different way of exploring one of the most magical places on earth. Luiz Hanfilaque, Brazilian from Santa Catarina state and Zaid Anchour, Moroccan from todgha gorge Tinghir (founder of Sand and Stars), are the founders of Sahara Nomad Experience - More Than a Tour. Every week, expeditions from two different destinations, Agadir and Marrakesh, depart to the enigmatic dunes and outstanding culture of the Sahara desert. Passing through different and attractive cities along the way, travelers from all over the world will experience the life of the locals, always immersing themselves in the traditions. Located in Tamraght, Morocco, Sahara Nomad Experience mission is to make the Sahara desert be appreciated as it really deserves. After all, this is a dream where we have since we were kids, have a Sahara Nomad Experience where we will carry for the rest of our lives.
