When you get to Morocco, whether you are a foodie or not you will be pleasantly surprised by the delicious food. For instance the most well known dish is the Moroccan Berber Tagine. The sky's the limit when it comes to tagine, the famous slow-cooked Moroccan stew. There are a number of meats that can go in a tajine. Beside chicken, a tagine can feature other types of poultry like squab or quail, as well as veal, lamb, fish, potatoes, or legumes like chickpeas or lentils. It can also be made with fish or just veggies.
The word tajine or tagine is not only the word for this North African dish but also for the earthenware pot in which the dish is actually cooked. The last picture is Pastilla or bəsṭila‎ and is a traditional
Andalusian dish consumed in countries of the Maghreb. Andalusian people who migrated to Fez have popularized the dish throughout Morocco. Moroccan food is incredibly flavorful and often spicy. If you are a foodie there are several places where you I can take cooking classes as part of your experience.
