Every bride is beautiful on her wedding day, but in Morocco, she gets to be a queen, too!!
After breakfast, we will start our amazing journey by attending the customary Hammam party, where you (the bride) undertake an act of purification. Whilst undergoing your cleansing process, the female companions will sing traditional songs to honor your purity, as well as your forthcoming journey and new status.
The Hammam is followed by the customary attendance of Hennaya, a professional Moroccan Henna artist, draws symbolic motifs on your hands and feet as a lucky charm for your new life. Then, the wedding party begins with songs and dance, we will gather in a large room. The groom will be in a suit and the bride will be dressed in a white caftan with matching jewellery, heads to a large chair that called “The Amariya”. Four men will carry the chair around the room so every guest gets to see and wish you happiness and good luck. Once the Amariya is set down, you will move to two comfortable chairs placed together, where the guests get to have their pictures taken with you.
There will be a Neggafa “Female attendant or wedding master planner” who surround you and assist you throughout the ceremony with the practicalities of managing your dress changes, to overseeing the formal aspects of the ceremony. Everyone will be happy enjoying tea, cookies, food and traditional Moroccan music.
