Merzouga is a village in the Sahara Desert in Morocco, on the edge of Erg Chebbi, a 50km long and 5km wide set of sand dunes that reach up to 350m high. Most people are here to take a camel ride into the dunes, and to get a taste of remote (tourism-influenced) Berber life.

The two nights Merzouga camel trek experience starts similar to the one night camel excursion but the second day after you watch the sunrise and eat your breakfast you will continue further into the Sahara Desert (black desert) and visit with local nomads family and have a break there and also lunch (berber pizza) and after your rest and lunch with nomad family you will ride camels to the camp to spend your second night in the tent (desert camp) .

This trip starts from Merzouga, drive to explore the tiny villages around Erg Chebbi dunes such as ( Hassi Labied, Merdani , Khamlia , nomads , M’fis ) on our way to Khamlia we expect to meet locals
showing their desert foxes. you may also encounter desert reptiles and mammals, in Khamlia, known as the village of black people who were slaves coming from Sudan,you will be hospitably welcomed with a cup of whiskey berber ( tea with mint ) while enjoying their spiritual Gnawa music. Leaving Khamlia our next stop is on the panoramic view of golden dunes near the Algerian border, we may stop for Picnic lunch with nomads family , whose are living under Berber tent and whose are taking care for herd of cattle, goats and camels, you will be introduced to family members and getting to know about their way of life while enjoying the taste of a nice cup of tea after lunch . After these you will have the chance to visit the sites of black volcanic rocks. continuing on, you’ll reach the panorama near Yasmina lac where you will be amazed with the scene of the dunes in addition to the nearby lake (springtime).then we will back to Merzouga. Note You will visit Yasmina or Merzouga lac only if there’s water in .

If you have a rental car we will meet you at our Hotel in Merzouga where you will prepare yourself for adventure with camel ride and we will give you a room to leave your luaggage that you will not take with you to desert and for shower when you come back from your desert camel trek
If you come by bus i will meet you here in Merzouga bus station and then take you to our hotel.
Bus informations
From Fes: There are a daily overnight bus leave fes around 20:00 night and get to Merzouga around 05:00 early morning. the bus called (SUPRATOURS)
From Marrakech: There are a daily day bus leave Marrakech at 08:00 morning and get to Merzouga at 20:00 night the bus called (SUPRATOURS).
