BEST 3 DAYS SAHARA DESERT TOUR FROM MARRAKECH TO FES VIA TODRA GORGES AND AIT BEN HADOU VILLAGE:
A 3-day trip from Marrakech to Fes is a classic Moroccan journey, especially popular for those wanting to travel via the Sahara Desert (Merzouga). It’s a fantastic route, passing through the High Atlas Mountains, desert oases, and Berber villages.

✅ Day 01: Marrakech → Ait Benhaddou → Ouarzazate → Dades Valley
• Distance: ~320 km (6–7 hours driving with stops)
• Highlights:
• Cross the Tizi n’Tichka Pass in the High Atlas Mountains
• Visit the Ait Benhaddou Kasbah (UNESCO World Heritage Site)
• Optional stop at Ouarzazate (Atlas Film Studios or Taourirt Kasbah)
• Continue through the Valley of the Roses
• Overnight in Dades Gorge or Boumalne Dades

✅ Day 02: Dades Valley → Todra Gorge → Merzouga (Sahara Desert)
• Distance: ~270 km (5–6 hours driving)

• Walk through the dramatic Todra Gorge

• Ride camels into the Erg Chebbi dunes
• Watch sunset from the dunes

• Distance: ~470 km (7–8 hours driving)
• Highlights:
• Early sunrise in the dunes (optional)
• Drive through the Ziz Valley
• Lunch stop in Midelt (Middle Atlas Mountains)
• Pass through Cedar Forests near Azrou (look for Barbary macaques)
• Short stop in Ifrane (the “Switzerland of Morocco”)
• Arrive in Fes by evening , overnight at traditional Riad in the Medina.
