We also customize private/group tours to help create your own dream tour. On our tours we use comfortable 4wd cars and minibuses with air-condition. They are all driven by professional drivers/guides who sp

eak English and French. We work to support local establishments and partners in Morocco. Since 2010 we have been owners of a DESERT CAMP in ERG CHIGAGA. The camp has 17 sleeping tents and 1 big restaurant tent. Showers and toilets in a separate house on site. Our camp offers good service to all our guests. DESERT CANDLES PHILOSOPHY:
All our guests are welcome to experience the warm and genuine hospitality of the nomadic people and we want you to feel as part of the nomadic family. We wish to share the nomadic culture and traditions in particular, but also to show other Moroccan culture in this contrasting country. Our team in Morocco are knowledgeable and experienced and we all value respect, open-mindedness, laughter and happy moments. We pride ourselves to be reliable and safety-oriented.

Most of our tours start from Marrakech, Ouarzazate, or from our office in M’Hamid. Our most popular tours take you into the desert of Erg Chigaga, but we also arrange private and customized tours, with flexible starting points and the possibility to add your own wishes.

We pick you up at your hotel and bring you back again, so you don’t have to worry about the details. Just sit back, relax and enjoy Morocco. Our experienced drivers know the roads, the desert and the best places to stop, and your safety is always important to us.

Along the way, there is much more to see than just the desert. We can stop at beautiful places, stay in comfortable accommodations, spend the night(s) in a desert camp and enjoy camel rides in the dunes.

Born in the Sahara, Abdellah Hajja grew up in a nomadic family, where the desert was simply home. Around the campfire, he learned the traditions, music, and hospitality that have been passed down through generations.

Today, he shares that same spirit with guests at our camp in Erg Chigaga. Each evening, our team, most with nomadic roots, gathers around the fire to play music, sing, and share stories. It’s not a show, but a tradition that is still very much alive.

Bab Agnaou is one of the most famous historic gates of the old city of Marrakech. It was built in the 12th century and used to serve as a ceremonial entrance to the royal district (Kasbah).

The gate is known for its beautiful carved stone decorations and is one of Morocco’s finest examples of Almohad architecture.

Marrakech’s old city (Medina) is surrounded by walls with around 20 main gates (babs). Bab Agnaou is among the most famous, alongside gates such as Bab Doukkala, Bab el Khemis, Bab Aylan, and Bab er-Robb.

Many travelers believe the Sahara desert is just outside Marrakech. The reality is different.

If your dream is to experience the towering golden dunes of Sahara, you need to travel much farther south to places like Erg Chebbi or Erg Chigaga. The journey is part of the adventure.

The areas closest to Marrakech are not Sahara and are mostly rocky and stony desert landscapes. Beautiful in their own way, but they are not the vast sand seas and high dunes that most people imagine when they think of the Sahara.
