The Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou is located 30 km from the city of Ouarzazate, the Hollywood of Morocco. A world heritage site classified by UNESCO in 1987, it dates back to the eleventh century AD, and is characterized by its Amazigh architecture. It is named after Benhaddou Amghar, who built this village during the Almoravid era. The Kasbah has witnessed the recording of the most famous international films.
