A 656 ft high Hassan II mosque was opened for public in 1993. It's a symbol of Moroccan architectural virtuosity that was designed by Michel Pinseau. Two-thirds of this mosque lies over the sea, enabling 25,000 faithful to pray inside its hall. The estimated cost is reckoned to have exceeded US$ 750m.
