What a wonderful day exploring Tangier with this lovely family from Denmark! 🇩🇰❤️

Our food tour turned into so much more than just tasting delicious Moroccan specialties. We wandered through the local food market, visited a traditional communal oven, and discovered the stories behind the flavors that make Tangier so unique.

Along the way, our guests enjoyed Bissara soup, spiced coffee, olives, Kalinte (Tangier’s iconic street food), nougat, fresh sardines, chicken skewers, vegetable tagine, fresh cheese… and finished on a sweet note with stuffed dates and refreshing mint tea. 😋

But the best part? Our conversations! We talked about Moroccan history, culture, religion, football, the traditional Moroccan hammam… and so many other topics. 😂 That’s what I love most about these tours—they’re not just about food; they’re about sharing cultures, exchanging stories, and making new friends from around the world.

Just few streets away from the busy Sekkaya area, “Tangier Moments” is a peaceful cultural café where you can have a moment of quietness. Majdi makes one of the best mint tea of the Medina, and Mawlay —the adorable cat 🐈‍⬛— might jump onto your lap uninvited… just typical cat behavior 🤷🏽‍♀️
It’s one of those hidden gems where I love bringing my guests to slow down, sip mint tea, and step away from the hustle and bustle of the Medina.
