Is Portofino, Italy worth a visit?

I often get asked what is the easiest way to get to Portofino and is it's worth the time.

Portofino in and of itself is beautiful and somewhat mysterious, but if you are pairing it with other charming villages nearby, it will give you a more rounded view of that special area of Liguria.
