OMG, you guys! 🐾 I just found out about the most amazing thing happening in Ras Al Khaimah!

Every Saturday, Al Hamra Residence is hosting a pet-friendly pool party at Fresca Pool Bar.

𝗠𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗮: 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗮 𝗠𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝗕𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴𝘀 🇲🇹✨
We went for a conference, but stayed for the island. We rented a car and drove everywhere—and yes, got hit with a €700+ charge for a microscopic plastic scratch. Welcome to Malta. But we don't regret it. We'll go back.
Mila ate so well she weighed over 8kg with her travel carrier by the time we left. That's how good the food was. That's how welcome she was.

𝟯 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗠𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗮 𝗧𝗮𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗨𝘀 𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗣𝗲𝘁 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗹:
EU Pet Passport + Beach Restrictions — Dogs aren't allowed on most public beaches May-September (fines up to €233). But since July 2023, 16 dog-friendly beaches are officially recognized—12 in Malta, 4 in Gozo. Rocky beaches are generally dog-friendly year-round.
Restaurants Welcome Dogs — Malta's café culture is genuinely pet-friendly. Blu Beach Club, Bacchus Restaurant, La Buona Trattoria, Il-Kartell—all welcome dogs. Mediterranean warmth at its finest.
🤯 THE WOW FACTOR: A Maltese on Malta — There's something poetic about bringing a Maltese to Malta. The breed was named after this island. When locals see a Maltese on Malta, they understand: this is pilgrimage, not just tourism.

T𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆: Malta teaches that a destination's challenges don't diminish its value. You come for the conference. You stay for the island. You leave with memories and a slightly heavier dog.

Can you believe it, pet parents? Mallorca has these super fancy beach clubs with amazing Mediterranean views! I'm imagining myself lounging there, maybe with a little dog-friendly "curated gastronomy" snack. A pup can dream of luxury, can't she?

It makes me wonder how these places could be even more pet-friendly. Maybe special shaded cabanas for us furballs? Or a "bark-worthy" treat menu?

Imagine the photo ops! Soaking up the sun while deep house beats play… purrfect!

Majorca. Ibiza. Barcelona. With car. With a van. And of course with a dog. Three time visited. Mixture of business, friendships and beautiful places to see. Food. Language. Muy Bueno!

𝗕𝗲𝗮𝘂𝘁𝘆 𝗗𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗪𝗶𝘀𝗱𝗼𝗺 𝗧𝗮𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗨𝘀 𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗣𝗲𝘁 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗹:
1. 🏖️ Dedicated Dog Beaches on the Islands
Majorca: Playa de Llenaire, Playa de Na Patana, Playa de Es Carnatge. Ibiza: Es Viver, Ses Figueres, des Riu Beach (open 365 days a year), Es Faralló. Dogs can swim, run, experience the full Mediterranean. Winter restrictions November to Easter — but summer options are plentiful.
2. 🏙️ Barcelona: Pet-Integrated if You Know Where to Go
Parc Güell welcomes dogs (sunset entry after 7pm). Poble Espanyol welcomes dogs everywhere. Llevant Dog Beach. Parc de la Ciutadella. Terraces. The metro outside rush hour. Barcelona isn't just pet-tolerant — it's pet-integrated. But you must plan accordingly.
3. 🤯 THE WOW FACTOR: Camper Travel + Security Awareness = Strategic Planning
Camper trough the island of Majorca and Ibiza: beautiful, memorable. Every night we slept on a different beach. One of the biggest adventures.

T𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆:
Spain is where we learned that the most beautiful destinations often require the most strategic planning. This isn't about avoiding Spain. It's about respecting it. Traveling with your eyes open. A broken window that taught us to be careful is not a failed trip. That's a validated one. 🌍

𝗗𝗼𝗴-𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗛𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝗲𝗲 🇳🇱✨
Amsterdam. Rotterdam. Eindhoven. Den Bosch. Another accelerator program, another chapter of the journey. We explored each city differently — Amsterdam's canals by boat with Mila on board, Rotterdam's energy quick but impressive, Eindhoven and Den Bosch slower and charming. But here's the real thing we learned about the Netherlands: it's not just pet-friendly. It's practical about pet travel in a way that matters more than aesthetics.

𝗣𝗲𝘁 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗹 𝗚𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗮𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗨𝘀 𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗣𝗲𝘁 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗹:
1. 🛶 Dog-Friendly Canal Culture
Amsterdam's 168 canals aren't just beautiful — they're dog-inclusive. Private boat tours welcome dogs. Canal-side cafés welcome dogs. Dogs are simply part of daily life here, organized around water. Eindhoven and Den Bosch have the same integration: nature trails, parks, dog-friendly accommodations.
2. 💶 Transparent Fees, No Surprises
The Netherlands thinks about details. Parking fees? Transparent. Extra dog charge? Sometimes — but they ask upfront. No hidden costs at checkout. Pet travel isn't just about being welcome — it's about knowing the costs and planning accordingly. Pet owners are planners. The Dutch respect that.
3. 🤯 THE WOW FACTOR: Practical Pet Travel is Pet Travel Done Right
Do you charge extra for dogs? Are there off-leash areas nearby? These aren't romantic questions — but they're essential ones. The Netherlands answers them honestly, every time. That's what makes it a genuinely excellent pet travel destination.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆:
The Netherlands taught us that pet travel is practical, not romantic. It's about parking fees, extra charges, and the right questions before you arrive. Not just dogs are welcome — here's what it costs, here's what to expect, here's how to plan. The Dutch get it. 🌍

𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗗𝗼𝗴 𝗕𝗼𝘁𝗵 𝗪𝗶𝗻 🇫🇷✨
Saint-Tropez. Côte d'Azur. Golf. A beautiful day, a sport we love, and a dog experiencing all of it. That's the magic of France — not just beaches and luxury, but the intersection of passion and a dog's pure joy. Golf courses where dogs are welcome. Coastal paths. Terraces where a Maltese sits beside you while you watch the sun melt into the Mediterranean. Any golf course that allows pets is the perfect opportunity to be in nature, let your dog enjoy it, and practice your sport. That's exactly what France offers.

𝗚𝗼𝗹𝗳 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗧𝗮𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗨𝘀 𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗣𝗲𝘁 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗹:
1. ⛳ Golf as a Shared Experience
Dog-friendly golf courses exist throughout France. Arnouville Golf Club (Seine-Maritime) welcomes dogs on 9 and 18-hole courses. Village Souillac Golf & Country Club (Lot region): 18 holes with lodges, pools — all dog-friendly. A 9-hole round = 2 hours. Your dog gets exercise. You play your sport. Nobody compromises.
2. 🌊 Pet-Integrated Coastal Life
Hotels like Hôtel La Ponche and Hôtel Lou Pinet in Saint-Tropez welcome dogs. Restaurant terraces serve water bowls without being asked. Dog beaches: Plage de l'Escalet, Plage de la Fosette. Dogs aren't an exception here — they're part of coastal life.
3. 🤯 THE WOW FACTOR: Summer Traffic + Strategic Planning
Côte d'Azur in July-August = gridlock. The solution: travel May–June or September–October. Use coastal paths. The 2-hour walk from Roquebrune-Cap-Martin to Monaco is stunning — dogs can be off-leash depending on the time of day. Beauty has seasons. Smart travelers understand which ones to choose.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆:
France is where we learned that pet travel isn't about avoiding compromise, it's about strategic integration. Spaces where your passion and your dog's joy intersect completely. Saint-Tropez. Golf. Mediterranean sunsets. A dog experiencing it all. That's not a vacation compromise. That's a validated lifestyle. 🌍

Okay, paw-lease tell me I'm not the only one just hearing about Mnemba Island! 🤩

It's like Zanzibar's super-exclusive, pet-friendly cousin. Imagine pet-friendly African safaris! My tail is wagging just thinking about all the new smells.

Time to hint to my humans about our next luxury adventure! Who’s coming with me?

Lago di Como. Lago di Garda. Twice. Not once — twice. Because some places demand a return visit. Some places need to be understood, not just seen. A beautiful moment like a fairy tale. That's exactly what Italy is — not just a destination, but a feeling. A place where every corner looks like it was painted by someone who understood beauty at a cellular level. We came back because once wasn't enough. Because we needed to confirm that what we felt the first time wasn't a fluke. It was real.

𝗧𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗹 𝗕𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗮 𝗙𝗮𝗶𝗿𝘆 𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗲 𝗧𝗮𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗨𝘀 𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗣𝗲𝘁 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗹:
1. 🏖️ Dedicated Dog Beaches on the Lakes
Bau Bau Beach on Lago di Como and Baia delle Sirene on Lago di Garda are dedicated dog beaches where Mila swam off-leash. Hotels like Albergo del Sole, Hotel du Lac, Hotel Royal Victoria welcome dogs. Restaurants with outdoor seating are dog-friendly. Italians understand that beauty is meant to be shared — including with your dog.
2. 🛶 Lakes as Wellness Destinations
Warm water, mountain scenery, peaceful lakeside towns. Dogs are welcomed into this wellness culture. Luxury resorts understand that pet owners want the same beauty and relaxation as everyone else. You don't have to choose between luxury and traveling with your dog. In Italy, you get both.
3. 🤯 THE WOW FACTOR: 300 Museums Now Offer Free Dog-Sitting
Since January 2025, nearly 300 Italian museums offer FREE dog-sitting at their entrances — the Uffizi Gallery, MAXXI Museum, Castel Sant'Angelo. Bauadvisor provides professional dog sitters while you explore. One Sunday a month it's completely free at 15 pioneering museums. Museums have seen a 30% increase in visits. Culture for everyone — including dog owners.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆:
Italy is where we learned that pet travel doesn't diminish beauty — it deepens it. Coming back twice wasn't about missing something. It was about confirming it was real. A Maltese watching a sunset over mountains that look like Renaissance paintings. Twice. Because once wasn't enough to believe it. 🌍
