raises funds for Boško Gugleta (2021).
Boško was born on 14 January 2021 in Novi Sad. Pregnancy and birth went smoothly. When he was 3 months old, his parents noticed that he was much calmer than he should be at that age.
After numerous examinations and analyzes, their fears came true. Unfortunately, Boško was diagnosed with SMA 1 (spinal muscular atrophy type 1). It is a severe, progressive and neuromuscular disease, which can be fatal. The manifestations of the disease are progressive muscle atrophy and loss of vital functions, such as walking, digestion, swallowing and breathing.
Boško, this brave baby, began his struggle for life in his fourth month. The first step in his treatment is the medicine Spinraza. It is available in Serbia, and we hope that Boško will take the first dose soon. It should slow the progression of this vicious disease. After that he will need Zolgensma gene therapy that has proven to be highly successful treatment. However, this modern therapy, approved in 2019, is currently the most expensive in the world and is unaffordable for many people. For that reason Boško’s  parents invite all generous people to make their contribution and help them raise funds..
Boško needs funds for Zolgensma therapy, treatment abroad, rehabilitation, physical and occupational therapies, for laboratory analyzes, orthopedic aids, medical devices, for travelling and accommodation costs.
